The paths on Kincorth Hill have been damaged by a series of storms in recent years. Aberdeen City Council has awarded the contract to repair and upgrade the paths to CR Contracting Ltd, with the design and site supervision being done by Walking-the-Talk.

The main focus of design was to improve the drainage and protection against water damage. Some of paths and tracks on site need to be accessible by vehicle, so this affected the specification as well. All cross drains and waterbars were removed and the surface was constructed using cambers and cross-slopes to shed water, along with 'grade reversals' to prevent water from running down the path.

Work was undertaken in November and December 2014 and was delivered on schedule and under budget.
