We can provide assistance with the development and implementation of peatland restoration projects, including feasibility assessments, funding applications and carbon sales.
Peatland restoration is becoming increasingly important as a way to enhance biodiversity and avoid the loss of precious carbon stores. We have worked with Nature Scot and land managers to undertake feasibility studies to assess the scope for peatland restoration on sites throughout Scotland. We can help you with the completion of peat depth surveys, assessment of the extent of peatland damage and the practical requirements and costs for restoration. We are also familiar with the IUCN Peatland Code, and the requirements for certification of peatland projects which want to market the climate benefits of peatland restoration.
